MASWELL's High Performance GNSS Planar Antenna AN.GNSS.L1.PCB Launched

The newly launched GNSS planar antenna AN.GNSS.L1.PCB developed by MASWELL has a gain of up to 6dBic and a low axial ratio covering the complete 1.56-1.602GHz Global Positioning frequency bands L1, which significantly improves the operational bandwidth of the GNSS antenna model for a better signal receiving and satellites sourcing capacities.

AN.GNSS.L1.PCB antenna model comes with passive version and active version (28dB LNA) two variations. The measured performance of the two versions far exceeds the common ceramic antennas on the market in terms of satellites sourcing quantities and average signal strength.
 
Additionally, Compared with traditional ceramic antennas,AN.GNSS.L1.PCB has a lower thickness, better system integration capacity, and much lower cost.

From Fig.1 and Fig.2, it may be obtained that the active version of the AN.GNSS.L1.PCB has a more planar structure than the passive version,making it easier to integrate with various systems.

In order to fully test the performances of the discussed AN.GNSS.L1.PCB GNSS antenna, an outdoor field test was performed with a traditional ceramic GPS radiator. The test results show that AN.GNSS.L1.PCB has always
locked up more satellites and has a higher average signal strength reception level in both the passive and active versions comparison, as illustrated in pictures below.
